Hi there! Iâm Alison Ryan, M.Ed, a literacy specialist, former classroom teacher, and dyslexia interventionist. In 2006, I began a job where I helped children who were having a hard time learning to read. Seeing the children (and their families) struggle really impacted me. Reading is a foundational skill that opens so many doors, and I decided I wanted to dedicate my career to ensuring all children have the reading skills they need to thrive.
Since then, Iâve worked as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction. I've also trained hundreds of thousands of teachers through my company, Learning At The Primary Pond. I have my Masterâs Degree in literacy and advanced training in supporting kids with learning disabilities like dyslexia.
I developed my Parent Academy to take my experience helping parents âonlineâ - so I could serve even more families than I currently do. Iâd be honored to be your guide in helping your child!
