About your instructor:

Hi there! I’m Alison Ryan, M.Ed, a literacy specialist, former classroom teacher, and dyslexia interventionist. In 2006, I began a job where I helped children who were having a hard time learning to read. Seeing the children (and their families) struggle really struck a chord with me. Reading is a foundational skill that opens so many doors, and I decided I wanted to dedicate my career to ensuring all children have the reading skills they need to thrive.

Since then, I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction. I’ve earned my Master’s Degree in literacy and received advanced training in supporting kids with learning disabilities like dyslexia.

I developed my Parent Academy to take my experience helping parents “online” - so I could serve even more families than I currently do. I’d be honored to be your guide in helping your child!
